God will go before me

Words of Encouragement

By: Janel Sullivan, Founder of Royal Promise

Though we may face situations in our life that we didn’t see coming, one characteristic of God that we can see at work in the midst of the unexpected is that He is the God who goes before us. In the last week, we at Royal Promise have been reflecting on how God prepared our store houses ahead of time, for a time such as this. At the end of February, just 2 weeks before the coronavirus hit, we held a fundraiser, and gained proceeds to help fill in the gap between our monthly ministry needs in Ghana (such as food and basic necessities for the children in our care) and the amount of donations coming in.

Additionally, about 1 week before the coronavirus hit, we signed on 14 new monthly recurring donors! Having consistent monthly givers is a HUGE help to us, and gives us projected stability in covering our monthly commitments to the lives in Ghana.

And just a few days before the coronavirus broke out, we received word that we had been selected by Mack and Benj apparel company to receive 50% of their profit as they launched their new online apparel collection.

Each of these things combined will ensure the children staying at our mission centers are fed and cared for properly over the next few months, AND will ensure that our in-country staff (teachers, mission center directors, house mothers and house fathers, etc) will still receive their salaries.

We could have never known at the time how in each of these things, God was going before us and preparing our organization financially to be able to remain steady and stable through an unexpected event such as what our countries have faced the past few weeks.

Praise to the God who goes before us!
